What We Do

We, too, believe that it takes a village to raise a child—and for us, that means building vibrant communities of faith, family, and service. Our journey begins by identifying places that will one day become thriving Tahanan sites or communities, where lives are renewed and families are strengthened. Currently, we have sixteen (16) sites.

But our mission goes beyond community building. Ultimately, we believe that every effort we make must lead to nation building. To achieve this, we focus on four key areas: Evangelization, Family Life, Education, and Social Transformation.

Evangelization

At the heart of our mission is Christ Himself. We can only rebuild if we return to the very foundation of our lives. That’s why our first invitation is simple yet life-changing: to encounter Jesus in a course we call BLESS—Bagong Landas sa Espiritu Santo (New Path in the Holy Spirit). This seven-session journey opens the door to living a renewed life, fully alive in the Spirit.

Family Life

The word tahanan means “home” — not just a house structure, but the people and relationships that make it alive. We believe that charity - along with compassion, integrity and industriousness - begin in the home. A strong and prosperous nation can only be built upon strong families.

Many of our youth dream of finishing their studies, but financial challenges often stand in the way. Through the Tahanan Educational Assistance Program (TEAP), we provide monthly allowances to underprivileged yet deserving students. Alongside this, our Gabay-Aral (Academic Coaching) program pairs volunteer mentors with young people to support their growth both academically and personally.

Social Transformation

When evangelization, family, and education are properly nurtured, transformation naturally follows. Our vision is for Tahanan sites to become self-sustaining and self-governing communities. To prepare for that future, we constantly seek out emerging leaders and unlock their potential through regular leadership formation and training.

Together, we believe that what begins in a single home, a single family, a single community—can ripple outward into true national renewal.
